Carolinas OES Rescue- Assisting homeless Old English Sheepdogs

Who We Are
We started doing rescue years ago when we lost our first Old English Sheepdog Mandy. She was my inspiration and is my angel. We strive to find each pup that comes here the perfect home. Some have been abused or neglected... some too big or too wild, others old and sick. We often don't know their past but we sure can promise them a better future!

Adopting a Friend
We have an adoption fee that includes all vaccines, spay/neuter and heartworm testing. This fee is determined on a case by case basis. If a dog tests positive for heartworms, we will treat the dog before he/she is adopted. IMPORTANT: Carolinas OES Rescue will not ship dogs. Carolinas OES Rescue wants each and every adoption to last a lifetime this time around. Dogs are NOT placed in homes on a first come, first serve basis. Instead, they are carefully matched with a family that can best fulfill the individual dog's needs. It has to be a match for both dog and family in order to accomplish this goal. * We must have your completed Adoption Application on file before we can discuss a dog.

COESR thanks
1-800-PetMeds for being
a sponsor of Carolinas OES Rescue!

Adopting any dog is a commitment meant to last the lifetime of the dog. The average Old English Sheepdog lives 12 years so it isn't a decision to be taken lightly. If you aren't quite ready to adopt or foster an Old English Sheepdog but would still like to help a dog in trouble, you might consider a donation. The veterinary care required to get an Old English Sheepdog ready for adoption can be expensive and many times adoption fees don't cover all the required care. Lack of funding and good foster homes are often the two biggest reasons rescues have to turn a dog away. Donations simply make it possible for us to help and place more homeless dogs.

Have you ever considered fostering?
Excellent foster homes allow Carolinas Old English Sheepdog Rescue to save more dogs in need. These wonderful individuals and families provide a safe and loving place for a dog to stay until their new family finds them. The time, love and patience invested by fosters helps to begin the transformation of an unwanted, neglected or abused Old English Sheepdog into a wonderful companion for some lucky family. If you think you're one of these special people and would like to learn more about fostering an OES, please contact us. You will be helping to save maybe one more dog that might not have otherwise had a chance. It can be a very rewarding experience.

Volunteers Make Rescue Possible!
We would love for you to be part of our team! Everyone has a talent they can offer to help homeless Old English Sheepdogs. Whether donating a service or skill for one hour per month to fostering a homeless dog, each and every volunteer is an important part of our system. If you can help, please take a few moments to complete our online application and tell us in what area you have an interest. If you have something to offer that is not on our list, PLEASE tell us about it! By each of us giving just a little of ourselves and working together we can make more Old English Sheepdog rescues possible. Please complete our Volunteer Application if interested.
